The benefits of the Hammam
Natural therapies 05/05/2020
The Hammam or Turkish Sauna, is the wet variant of the sauna, it uses heat to bring benefits to our body that the Arabs discovered hundreds of years ago. Among the main benefits are the elimination of impurities in the skin, the expectorant effect in cases of cold or cough, and positive effects against stress, anxiety or depression.
In the Hammam the temperature is not uniform. Depending on the height, the temperature oscillates between 25 and 50 degrees, with a relative humidity of around 100%.
Benefits of the Turkish bath:
• Increases heart rate and respiration, and stimulates the nervous system.
• Eliminates toxins and impurities.
• Smoother and velvety skin.
• Expectorant effect. Helps fight sinusitis or bronchitis, and other milder ailments such as common colds or coughs.
• Reduces stress, anxiety or depression.
• Cleans pores and eliminates acne .
• It is more relaxing than the Finnish sauna.
At SPALAS you will be able to discover these benefits in our Turkish sauna both in the SPA Zone and in the PRIVATE SPA (La Porta del Cel), a unique and charming space to reconnect with yourself.
